Broadway Cabaret Auditions

We are pleased to announce that auditions are now open for our one night only engagement, A Broadway Cabaret starring you and a Broadway Star Scott Logsdon! Mr. Logsdon is a talented actor, director, and writer. He has appeared in Broadway shows such as Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd, Candide, Evita (DTL award for Best Actor in a Musical), The Fantasticks, and South Pacific. He has directed shows such as Chess, The Last Five Years, The Glass Menagerie, Driving Miss Daisy, Love Letters, The Fantasticks, and Funny Girl in concert in Nashville. His writing credits include An American Country Christmas Carol (book/lyrics), co-written with six Grammy and CMA Winning and nominated composers, Joyce Jackson’s Guide to Dating (book/lyrics), a finalist for the Jonathan Jackson and Richard Rodgers Awards, Broadway’s Roundabout Theatre’s Tribute to Alec Baldwin, and the internet serial “The Glamorous Life.” He’s currently writing a new musical with Emmy and Grammy Award winner John McDaniel.

DIGITAL AUDITION SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

When you complete your online audition form, you will need to upload your Digital Video Audition Submission. If you have immediate questions, we are here for you and we are ready to help guide you, please e-mail Mr. Miller at smiller@honesdalepac.com. Please use the highest quality recording equipment available to you (iPad). For best results, place your recording device on a stationary object, such as a tripod or table. Do not tape a close-up; have your entire body (from head to toe) in the frame. Prior to recording, test that you are in focus and well lit with a solid background, and that your video is free from distracting background noise.

Please see the guidelines below:

Start your recording device and state:

1. The date you are recording your audition
2. Your full name
3. The musical for which you are auditioning (A Broadway Cabaret)
4. The titles of the piece you will perform
5. Perform your vocal selection, while playing the audio track in the background of your recording
6. Pause between your vocal selection and your monologue

When you are finished with your audition performance, please announce that you have reached the end of the video, restate your name, and stop your recording device.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Please acknowledge and agree that you will need to attend one rehearsal that will be forthcoming prior to the engagement and plan on being at the golf club all day on Saturday, May 13, 2023 for a rehearsal in the afternoon, and leading into the show that night. Please remember, you need to practice outside of these rehearsals on your own. Also, this is a formal dress attire night, gentlemen collared shirts, jackets, dress slacks, and ladies, long formal dresses or collared business attire.
